Childhood
From
the various sources acquired, Nadiem Makarim founder Gojek was born in
Singapore, July 4, 1984. He has a father named Nono Anwar Makarim who
originated from Pekalongan as a lawyer and mother named Atika Algadrie from
Pasuruan working in the field of non-profit. Nadiem Makarim has two sisters.
The
wife of Nadiem Makarim named Franka Franklin, they married By utilizing the

graduated high school in Singapore, from Singapore He then went on to study
International Relations at Brown University, USA.

for a year Nadiem Makarim participated in the foreign exchange program at the
London School of Economics. He also continued his studies at Harvard Business
School, Harvard University and graduated with an MBA (Master Of Business Of
Administration).
Nadiem
Makarim was known to have worked in a Mckinsey & Company a renowned
consultant in Jakarta and spent three years working there. He was also known as
Co-founder and Managing Editor of Zalora Indonesia and became the Chief
Innovation officer Kartuku.

Armed
with many experiences during his work, Nadiem Makarim then ventured to quit his
job and established a GO-JEK company in 2011.

served as the CEO of GO-JEK. The beginning of Gojek stood, Nadiem had 20 gojek

that time, the number of Gojek employees was still very limited and the driver

of Education and culture
After

his retreat from Gojek, Nadiem Makarim was appointed by President Joko Widodo
to serve as Minister of Education and Culture in the Indonesian cabinet
progressing from 2019 to 2024. Nadiem Makarim became the youngest minister in
the cabinet.
